Thijs Vande Vyvere graduated cum laude as a neuroscientist (MSc in biomedical sciences-neurosciences, University of Antwerp) in 2014. In 2015, he started as a doctoral researcher and central radiology reviewer for the large pan-European CENTER-TBI study, under supervision of neuroradiologists Prof. dr. Paul M. Parizel (University of Antwerp), Prof. emer. dr. Guido Wilms (Catholic University Leuven) and medical physicist Prof. dr. Pim Pullens (Ghent University). He received his doctorate in medical sciences-radiology in 2020. During his doctoral years, he mainly focused on radiologic imaging of different pathoanatomic lesion types in brain-injured patients. Currently, he is working as a postdoctoral fellow (Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Antwerp, MOVANT) and as a researcher on multiple projects involving computational anatomy and imaging (Department of Radiology, Antwerp University Hospital).
