Dra. Jade Mosselmans

Jade Mosselmans is a neuroscientist and doctoral researcher at the University of Antwerp (Research group MOVANT, Department of Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy). Her PhD project focuses on the prevention and mechanisms of chronic pain and chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy in breast cancer survivors. Combining insights from neuroscience and oncology, her work aims to identify biological, clinical, and neuroimaging (MRI) markers of pain vulnerability and to evaluate the effects of personalized exercise interventions on treatment-related side effects.

Before starting her PhD, Jade worked as a clinical study coordinator in oncology, where she developed a strong interest in the neurobiological and functional consequences of cancer treatment. Within her doctoral research, she integrates clinical assessments, including the Total Neuropathy Score clinical version (TNSc), Quantitative Sensory Testing (QST), and Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA), as well as MRI, biomarker analyses, and patient-reported outcomes to better understand and manage the long-term impact of cancer therapies.
