Dra. Kaat Verbeelen

Kaat graduated as an internal physiotherapist from the University of Antwerp and is currently working as a PhD researcher. She is an enthusiastic and curious person who enjoys working with people and contributing to meaningful research. Her current work focuses on the cancer population, exploring the use of ultrasound and shear wave elastography to measure soft tissue properties. Through this research, she aims to gain a better understanding of how changes in soft tissue relate to shoulder pain and patient functioning. Kaat is motivated by the opportunity to collaborate, learn, and make a positive impact through science and connection.
