Laura obtained her master’s degree in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy in 2024 at KU Leuven. After a short period working as a physiotherapist in private practice, she started her PhD in December 2024. The main focus of her research is the incidence of subjective and objective breast and trunk oedema after breast cancer treatment. She also studies the reliability, validity, and accuracy of measurement methods used to detect and evaluate breast and trunk oedema. Alongside her research, she works at the Center for Lymphedema at UZ Leuven, where she functions as a physiotherapist in multidisciplinary consultations. She believes that combining research with clinical work strengthens both.
