Marthe Van Overbeke is a physiotherapist with a specialisation in musculoskeletal and internal disorders. She is currently pursuing a Joint PhD within the MOVANT research group at the University of Antwerp and the GHP Lab at Ghent University.
Prior to beginning her doctoral studies, Marthe worked in several private physiotherapy practices, where she developed a strong interest in oncology and chronic pain. This led her to start her PhD in October 2023, focusing on chronic pain following breast cancer. Her research investigates the role of pain education and physical activity coaching in managing this condition. Additionally, she examines the effectiveness of an eHealth intervention that integrates these components for individuals experiencing post-breast cancer pain.
