October is breast cancer awareness month, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer. A cancer conference day gathered all cancer researchers at the University of Antwerp to discuss different angles emphasizing the need and the importance of scientific research in the cancer domain. Here, you can find a recapitulation of how we spent our day from poster presentations by some of our members to an interesting talk about biopsychosocial factors in breast cancer by researcher Dr. Lore Dams. Last but not least, we discussed how to improve treatment and elaborated on possible future collaborations. Did you wear your cancer ribbon this month to raise awareness? 🎗 Pictures: |
