The expertise of CarEdOn includes:
- unravelling the etiology of edema, pain and sensory disturbances, upper limb and pelvic dysfunctions, and their interactions in patients with edema and/or cancer.
- clinical assessment of edema, pain and sensory disturbances, upper limb and pelvic dysfunctions in a biopsychosocial context with a special interest in near-infrared fluorescence imaging, quantitative sensory testing, skin thermography, digital health monitoring, shear-wave elastography, and activity monitoring.
- rehabilitation of edema, pain and sensory disturbances, upper limb and pelvic dysfunctions with a focus on compression therapy, lymphatic surgery, manual lymphatic drainage, exercise therapy, educational interventions, and activity management (in person or through eHealth).
